BG22L and BG24L SoC with Bluetooth 6.0, AI Accelerator, and Channel Sounding for IoT Applications
Silicon Labs has introduced the BG22L and BG24L system-on-chips (SoCs) for cost-effective, high-performing wireless solutions for IoT applications. With this new launch Silicon labs expands their Bluetooth low-energy product portfolio, making it perfect for asset tracking, smart applications, and access control.
BG24L is built for advanced Bluetooth 6.0 applications, providing a Bluetooth channel sounding feature that enables precise distance measurement for asset tracking, geofencing, and wireless access control. Equipped with a powerful 78 MHz ARM Cortex-M33 processor, 768 kB Flash, and 96 kB RAM for high-performance applications. Additionally, it includes a Matrix Vector Processor (MVP) accelerator, delivering 8x faster machine learning performance while using only 1/6th the power of traditional processing.
BG22L is optimized for low-power Bluetooth applications and offers up to 10 years of battery life on a single charge, making it ideal for wireless devices. It also eliminates the need for an external oscillator by providing low-power receiver mode and Precision Low Frequency RC oscillator (PLFRCO). Equipped with a 38.4 MHz ARM Cortex-M33 processor, up to 352 kB of flash, and up to 24 kB of RAM for enhanced performance. This makes it an excellent choice for AI-driven IoT applications that need both speed and energy efficiency.
