42 V Voltage R1526 Regulators with High EMS Noise Immunity and Fast Transient Response for Consumer, Industrial, and Automotive Applications
Ricoh Electronic Devices has introduced the R1526 Series of 42V voltage regulators with excellent noise immunity to external electromagnetic interference. The 300mA output current, wide operating voltage range, and fast transient response make the device suitable for consumer, industrial and automotive applications that require outstanding electromagnetic susceptibility (EMS) noise immunity.
The R1526 has been designed to resist EMS noise in the high-frequency band from 10 MHz to 1 GHz for providing stable output voltage. The CMOS-based device is suitable for harsh conditions and operates from 3.5 up to 42 V (Abs. Max. 50 V) and even tolerates load dump surge peak voltages of 60 V with a duration of less than 200 ms. The new regulator can be used in a high-temperature environment. It offers the maximum operating temperature of 105°C for consumer applications and 125°C for industrial and automotive applications.
R1526 comes with an array of safety features such as over-current protection, short circuit protection, and thermal protection. The HSOP-8E package of the devices has a special protection pin layout arrangement that prevents a failure when adjacent pins are shorted. The new voltage regulator can be used in automotive applications with a direct battery connection and in ECUs, infotainment, security, dashboard, remote keyless entry, immobilizer, and gateway systems.
