MC1436 Compensated Operational Amplifier

The MC1436 is a summing amplifier, integrator, or amplifier with operating characteristics as a function of the external feedback components. The supply voltage of LM201 is ±30V. This amplifier is internally compensated and comes with Input Overvoltage Protection and Offset Voltage Null Capability.

Where to use MC1436:

The MC1436 is a single Package Operational Amplifier. This amplifier offers many features which make its application nearly full-proof: Overload protection on the input and output, no latch-up when the common-mode range is exceeded, and freedom from oscillations and compensation.

In Addition, the device provides better accuracy and lower noise in high impedance circuitry. The low input currents also make it particularly well suited for long interval integrators or timers, sample and hold circuits and low-frequency waveform generators. So if you are looking for an Op-Amp IC with a single package and full proof protection then this IC might be the right choice for you.

How to Use MC1436

As mentioned earlier MC1436 is a single op-amp IC. The internal block diagram of this IC is shown below.

MC1436 Internal Block Diagram

When the voltage at the non-inverting input (+) is higher than the voltage at inverting input (-), then the output of the comparator is HIGH. And if the voltage of inverting input (-) is Higher than the non-inverting end (+), then output is LOW. The output of the operational amplifier is the product of the gain and the input voltage.

To understand the working of the device a typical Noninverting Voltage Amplifier circuit is given below. As it is a non-inverting amplifier circuit, so input is given to a non-inverting pin.
