KA331 Voltage-to-Frequency Converter IC

The KA331 voltage-to-frequency converter provides the output pulse train at a frequency precisely proportional to the applied input voltage. The KA331 can operate at power supplies as low as 4.0V and be changed the output frequency from 1Hz to 100KHz. It is ideally suited for use in simple low-cost circuits for analog-to-digital conversion, long-term integration, linear frequency modulation or demodulation, frequency-to-voltage conversion, and many other functions.

How to Use KA331 IC

The KA331 is a Voltage to frequency converter IC which means if you provide voltage in the input pin of the IC, the output frequency of the IC will vary according to the input voltage. The main distinguishing feature of the KA331 is that they have ultra-low distortion, and low-noise operation. The 8 pin DIP IC can work in a wide range of bandwidth from 1Hz to 100 kHz. It also has a wide range of supply voltage from 5V to 40V. KA331 is the equivalent of popular LM331 which can also be used in this F-to-V circuit.
