P6KE180A TVS Diode
P6KE180A is TVS diode which provides high overvoltage protection by clamping action. Its instantaneous response to transient overvoltages makes it particularly suited to protect voltage sensitive devices such as MOS Technology and low voltage supplied IC’s. For P6KE180A diode, breakdown voltage is 189 V and clamping voltage is 246 V.

Brief Note on P6KE180A Diode
P6KE180A is a TVS diode that can nullify the sudden or momentary overvoltage effects on sensitive semiconductors and circuits. P6KE180A is connected in parallel with the device or circuit to be protected. Marking diagram for P6KE series is given below.
For unidirectional mode Anode and cathode can be differentiated by the colour band on cathode side. In bi-directional mode diode has the same characteristics in the positive and the negative direction, so it does not matter which way they are connected into the circuit. In P6KE180A, P6KE is the series name, 180 is the operating voltage of diode, A stands for Uni-directional (5% voltage tolerance). I-V characteristics for P6KE180A is shown below:
